School Administrator

Location:          Longdon Hall School, Longdon Green, Nr Lichfield

Salary:              Up to £18,000 dependent on experience

Hours:              37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract:          Full time, term time + 4 weeks

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a School Administrator to join our close-knit team at Longdon Hall School, Lichfield. 

About the School:

Longdon Hall School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 7 to 18, catering for children with a wide range of social, emotional and mental health needs. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

We pride ourselves in steering children in the right direction, nurturing aspiration to progress them both academically and socially to encourage them to take pride in their achievements. About the Role:

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and committed Administrator to join our team and to help our Senior Leadership Team deliver an outstanding curriculum, motivate the pupils and achieve positive outcomes for our young people.

The successful candidate will have a sound administrative background.  Experience of working in a school setting and/or with young people with a range of complex learning needs would be an advantage.  You will need to be emotionally resilient, a team player and adapt quickly, as no two days are the same.

An excellent communicator, you will act as an ambassador for Longdon Hall School and will often be the first port of call both face to face and on the phone for parents, local authorities, social workers and other key stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

  • Must have previous administrative experience, preferably within a school environment
  • Must have as a minimum GCSEs Maths and English.  Further qualfications eg NVQ, A Levels or a degree are desirable, but not essential
  • Emotional Resilience and the abiliity to manage competing workloads
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of key policies relating to Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment
  • Good ICT skills
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work as part of a team, but also with minimum supervision
